Four keen cyclists in Columbia have formed a cycling company called Mova – and they have burst onto the commuter scene with their new innovative commuter jacket.

10 days ago the Columbian company took to Kickstarter with the aim of raising $5,000 to launch their new urban rider jacket, and in this short space of time they have smashed their goal. With over $36,000 backed so far, the new urban cycling jacket looks to take the market by storm.

The jacket is currently available for $89 (£59) but the suggested price is $150 (£99). So why is this jacket so good? Here’s some of the key features…

Stylish

The Mova jacket is reversible – which means one side is a cycling safe high-viz colour, with additional reflective strips across the arms and back whilst the colour of the other side can be chosen from 10 options. The idea is this jacket is safe on the bike and cool off it.

The cyclist cut provides additional material at the lower back to protect your behind from splash, as well as your skin from being exposed at the waist line.

Functional

The lightweight material is fully water and wind proof, keeping you dry and warm on your way to and from the office.

Discrete zips throughout the jacket keep your possessions safe and spacious rear pocket and sleeve pouches use chunky obvious zips to cut down on fumbling.

Large vented openings with mesh material ensure you’ll never overheat in the Mova Jacket.

Practical

We love that the Mova jacket can be easily folded away into its own bag, which you can throw over your shoulder for any unexpected rain or showers.
